So  how long does it take to get from Connecticut to Alaska?

That’s what I learned while trying to help my friend Tara contact a Mystery Man in the Last Frontier.

We found the Alaskan mystery man!!

Social media is a powerful thing. Within a few hours of posting my blog, I heard from several people who said they know the Alaskan man with the dog in the Grand Canyon picture.

Do you know this Alaskan man?

A friend of mine is trying to find this friendly man with the sweet dog. He’s from Alaska, that’s all she knows.

The beloved American musical, Hello, Dolly! opened 50 years ago today in 1964, at the St. James Theatre on Broadway.

The show ran for 2,844 performances, which at the time was a record.  It is currently ranked 19th of the longest running shows on Broadway.

The Wolf of Wall Street: Martin Scorcese needs an editor

Watching the film The Wolf of Wall Street on New Year’s Day, I felt deceived.

During those three long hours (plus 26 minutes of coming attractions) my mind kept drifting from the plot about excessive fraud, to the excessiveness of the film’s director Martin Scorcese.

The film is based on the life of con man Jordan Belfort, adapted from his autobiographical book. After being laid off as a stock broker on Black Monday in 1987, Belfort took to pump and dump schemes — selling worthless penny stocks to investors and making millions in the process. He lived a jetsetting drug-induced lifestyle with his ill gotten gains, until he got caught and arrested by the FBI.
