Bad dog, good cat!

The ending could have been much bleaker for a little boy had it not been for a feline heroine named Tara.

As seen in a now viral video, four-year-old Jeremy was playing outside on his bicycle at his home in Bakersfield, California, when a neighbor’s dog attacked him.

The family cat Tara lunged at the dog and chased him away. The whole thing was caught on a surveillance video.

Amazing how that cat just leapt at the dog with her full force and body. That was the only way it was going to get that dog to let go of the boy’s leg. And it worked. She chased him away for good measure.

The boy suffered two large bites and got stitches. The dog has been quarantined, for now.

Good cat, bad dog, and worse dog owner.

Warning: Graphic shot of the boy’s wounds in this video released by the family.
