Expect the Unexpected

A difficult thing

It’s really hard when you see someone going through intense emotional pain and knowing you can’t help.

Someone I love very much is going through a tough time. He may be facing the loss of his job and problems with the law.

And there’s nothing I can do.

I’ve spoken with him, listened to him, and offered to help in any way I can. But it’s not enough. It’s like he’s dug himself into a hole and can’t climb out.

What he probably doesn’t realize is that what happens to him, affects others around him. He thinks his destructive path is his business and the consequences of his actions are his alone too.

But life doesn’t happen in a vacuum. When you’ve forged relationships with others, they care about you. Really care.

No need to knock. The door is open.
